Epec Moves Their New Bedford Headquarters Location
Release Date:
[August 13, 2018: New Bedford, MA] ] Today, Epec Engineered Technologies announced the relocation of its New Bedford, Mass. headquarters. Epec, had been at the 174 Duchaine Blvd. location since the 1950s, has moved to 176 Samuel Barnet Blvd.
Ed McMahon, CEO of Epec commented: "The move was necessary for us to grow and expand our business. We were running out of office space and needed more room for our manufacturing and warehouse areas."
Epec is still located inside the New Bedford Business Park, just 2 miles down the road. The new 52,000-square foot facility is more than double the previous location. Epec was also able to triple its manufacturing floor and double the storage space in their warehouse. The front office area has also been doubled, along with additional conference rooms for team collaboration.
"The move was seamless, and our customers really didn’t even know we did it,” McMahon said. “We got ahead on what needed to be manufactured and had all the machines and equipment moved down the road in a single weekend. We then moved our office personnel the following week. With our infrastructure being cloud-based, our team can work anywhere as long as they have an Internet connection. Along with the added space, the move allowed us to reconfigure our full operation from scratch, which allowed us to become much more efficient in everything from shipping/receiving, quality control, and manufacturing."
This move marked a huge milestone in Epec’s history and gives a strong foundation as to what is to come in the company’s future.
